The official launch of ‘Kerry 1916: Histories and Legacies of the Easter Rising – A Centenary Record’ will take place on Friday, 22 April at 8pm in Fels Point Hotel, Tralee.

As well as the book launch, there will be a panel discussion chaired by co-editor, Dr Mary McAuliffe of UCD and including experts, academics and historians.

Described by Professor JJ Lee as ‘absorbing, important,’ and ‘significant’ the book will be the definitive account of events in Kerry in 1916 and will feature the over 100 men and women from the county who were arrested and jailed for their involvement as well as the four Kerry men who died in the fighting on the streets of Dublin.
